brown classic tabby Maine coon lookalike
But....like the infamous Italian Napoleon, ours also has a quirky "Napoleon complex"--being a ittle guy with attitude, he doesn't always play well with other cats; he's either being bullied, or he becomes the bully. Being an ONLY CHILD will avoid that issue entirely!! Also, upon arrival in a new home, he is positively terrified: his eyes bug out and his little face shows such strain and fear that he looks positively alien. Once he has settled in, he becomes his true adorable, silly, and snuggly self.
His foster mom describes him as playful, curious, and extremely intelligent. He "trained" the family members to hold up treats for which he stands on hind legs and begs!!! He responds to quiet intonations of voice, and even facial expressions! Foster mom said that he is so smart that when she doesn't want to be bothered while doing computer work, she holds up her hand and makes little "no-no sounds"--he will stay right where he is, or watch from a safe distance. His sweet little penchant for sucking on fingers is probably reflective of an abbreviated kitten phase. As seen so frequently in rescue work, the animals have some emotional baggage that can't ever be fully explained or understood, but can be overcome with the love and patience of a nurturing owner.
NAPOLEON IS ASKING SANTA FOR HIS FUREVER HOME BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!! To help make this happen, his special adoption fee is only $75. If you like a bit of challenge, and relish the gratitude and loyalty of a great rescue, Napoleon is your boy! Please visit our website: www.mainecoonrescue.net to access the online adoption application.
