The shelter staff called him Mr. Grumpy. But he wasn’t grumpy, he was terrified. MCR rescued this little boy after his owner had surrendered him to animal control. His world had been ripped apart and he was trying to cope. He was frightened and hissy for several days. Then he realized that he was safe and it was like flipping a switch. Coming out from the corner meant he got attention and cuddles. And that was exactly what he wanted.
A Maine Coon mix, Booberry is a handsome brown mctabby Maine coon wannabe. The vet says he's about 7 years old. He’s a small boy, weighing in at about 9 lbs., but he makes up for it in hair…long, silky, soft, golden hair. He loves to be on your lap, soaking in as much attention as he can get. He adores being brushed, especially around his face, and he likes belly rubs too. He’s a quiet talker...soft meows when he wants attention.
He cannot go to a home with children, as he will nip when upset. Booberry would be perfectly happy being an only cat where he can get 100% of the love.
