THE FOLLOWING CATS ARE BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME. Coal is the living definition of "sweet." She is gentle, quiet and very affectionate. She likes to curl up on people's laps and doze off contentedly. She adores being petted and sits up like a prairie dog to reach her head into your palm. She also gives light, loving kisses during pet sessions. She is quite intelligent, and person-oriented and even comes when she is called. Like all kittens, she loves to play and chase toys, however, it can be hard for her to assert herself into a game when her foster-mates don't give her a turn. She is cautious around other cats, probably because she is so petite and delicate (her nickname is "Dinky"); she does not appreciate getting pulled in to wrestling matches with her foster-mates and says so in no uncertain terms! Coal spent her first 3 months of life in the mountains of West Virginia. Just before the holidays, Maine Coon Rescue transported her to Baltimore, MD where she is now in foster care with her brother, Dreidel. Because she is still very young, Coal should go to a home with at least one other cat. In Coal's case, a laid back cat would probably be best. She has never been around a dog but would likely be fine with them, especially if introduced slowly and given lots of perches to observe their behavior in safety. Her adopter should expect to brush Coal fairly regularly. Coal is fully vetted. Coal's adoption fee is $225.00. This includes spay, combo test (neg/neg), microchip, dewormer, flea treatment, wellness exam, FVRCP Vaccine, and Rabies Vaccine. Coal is available for adoption within 1.5 hours of Baltimore, MD.
