Lovely, Medium Hair Lady
Wow! Sassafras is a fetching medium size cat with exotic jade eyes. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is outwardly. Sassafras is a confident friendly lady who demands attention. She loves nothing more than getting strokes and rubbing your face. She does not hesitate to ask for affection! Sassafras does a great job of maintaining her medium length coat but brushing her every few days will help and give the added bonus of some bonding time. She allows the foster to clip her nails, but it works best when given a break between feet. Sassafras has been eating Purina ProPlan Sensitive Skin and Stomach. She has a great appetite and no issues but is eating this food because she shares a foster space with a cat that requires it. She has great litter box habits and is not picky about which litter. We do not know her history other than she was an owner surrender at a Kentucky shelter. She is moderately playful and does well with other cats. Since we do not know her history with dogs and because she has not been dog tested, she should go to a home with no dogs. She has also not been with children while in foster care but should be fine with older respectful children. Her very best home would be with someone who can give her attention and love; she will return it 10 fold! Adoption Fee: $200 includes combo test (neg/neg), spay, rabies and FVRC vaccinations, deworming and flea preventative. She comes with a microchip registered to Maine Coon Rescue; the adopter has the option to add their name and contact number. She is available for adoption within 250 radius of zip code 25177. There is no transport fee if the adopter is willing to meet at least halfway; otherwise, there is an $85 transport fee.
