JIM BOB is looking for a quiet home with a comfy sofa, a loving hand, and a loving heart that understands what he needs and is willing to provide it. JIM BOB is about 15 years old and has kidney disease which may have been brought about and/or intensified with stress and depression. His original owner is elderly and could no longer take care of him because she uses a walker. He was taken to the vet to be euthanized but the vet took him to rehome and started him on fluids. His first foster family had young children and the chaos that can go with that so he was further stressed. The vet took him back, and the current foster took him in. Since going to live with this current foster, JIM BOB's kidney values have dropped from 50 to 25. He does require 250 ml. of SubQ fluids every three days which one can do from home with a little bit of training.

JIM BOB has a cheerful big cat personality once he is comfortable. He does do well with small calm dogs and, perhaps, one calm, chilled cat. He is inclined to nip if he gets overstimulated but he, like most cats, will give notice when that is about to happen.

JIM BOB is fully vetted other than combo testing which will be done if he is adopted.

WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER ADOPTING AN OLDER CAT
Imagine that you are old and suddenly you lost your home and the person who loved and cared for you for years....it seems that no one wants you....they don't appreciate the years of love and companionship that you provided or that you have more that you want to share. A safe, loving home is all you want to finish out your life....who will be the person that takes you in and gives you the love that warms you and nourishes your cuddles....you more you give, the more you get. Senior pets deserve a great home too!
