Maine Coon / Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Large
Ruth is a front-paw declawed 3, almost 4, yr old gray tabby Maine coon mix girl. She is a sweet and independent girl. I call her Ruthie and she seems to like that! Ruth will do best if she is the only cat in the home. She can do okay with cats with a submissive personality. She deserves to be the queen of her castle! She is not good with dogs or kids. Ruth's previous owner had a rambunctious younger cat and Ruth became stressed when the cat when that cat wanted to rough house and play. Ruth showed her displeasure by not using her litter box, which we know is common for stressed cats. She has used her litter box perfectly in her current foster home, so we know that the other cat was upsetting her. Ruth is not a lap cat and is not a big fan of being picked up. If you are looking for a cat who is very independent and likes to be near you but not on you, Ruth is your girl. She prefers to be nearby. In her foster home, she sleeps on the bed by her foster mom's feet. She loves to play and roll around! She loves to window-watch the birds and the squirrels and will chirp back at them! Ruth will take some time to adjust to her new home. She is not a fan of loud noises. Her new owner should be patient and allow her time to adjust to her new home. Every cat is different in the amount of time it can take. Remember, a nice quiet home without small children or dogs would be the best thing for her. She would love to find her forever home where she can be the queen of the castle with a patient person. Ruth is available for adoption within 200 miles of Beulah, MI.
