BUD’s BIO:

Like so many of our rescues, Bud began life as a stray kitten born to a stray mother, this time under a porch in West Virginia. He and his litter mates were taken in and cared for by a kind person, who contacted Maine Coon Rescue to try to locate a longer-term foster home. 

The first thing that stands out about Mr. Bud is his size. At five months old, he weighs six pounds, and is almost as large as a medium-sized adult cat. And, if paw size is any indication, Bud is going to grow to be VERY big! Bud has a very laid-back personality, and is quite happy to snuggle into a chair or on a bed next to you. Pick him up and he purrs happily! He’s the rare cat that doesn’t mind being cuddled like a baby.

Bud is quite comfortable with our dog, other cats, young children, and every adult he has ever encountered. He loves to interfere with anyone attempting to get some work done on their computer, because, why should you bother with that boring stuff when you could be petting him? Did I mention he has huge paws and will probably be really large?

Bud's favorite foods include Maine Coon Kitten dry, Friskies canned (seafood varieties), Wholehearted chicken, and the occasional people food that might be offered, like cooked chicken, cottage cheese, cheese, and plain yogurt. Be forewarned it's going to take a lot of food to keep growing that big body to its full size potential.

Bud is the vocal one of the group and likes to announce himself on entering a room, or if he can’t locate you. You will also hear from him if he happens to be behind a door that offends him by being closed.

Bud will be happiest being adopted with one of his siblings; I recommend Rosie. And, yes, he will be bigger than her!
